Wrightsville Beach Museum of History



The fourth oldest cottage on the island, and perhaps the best preserved example of old Wrightsville Beach architecture, the museum house and exhibits show life on the island at the turn of the century.

Displays range from the Civil War and Wrightsville Beach, to Hurricanes, the Trolley, Beach Art, and our Barrier Island Heritage, including the Lumina, Grand Hotels & Inns, the history of Surfing, Oral History's, the Stages of Station One, and the History of the House. Visit Wrightsville Beach's only Museum and Gallery open 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily (closed Mondays), changing exhibits of History and Beach Art.
