      San Antonio is a city which is warm enough to do outdoors activities year-round. If you are all city-ed out then there are many ways to get some fresh air and exercise. Some of these things require advance registration so call ahead to find out details.

      Cedar Creek Golf Course- Rated South Texas's best golf course. Much plush greenery and fairways 8250 Vista Colina Way 210-226-5612.

      The Quarry Golf Course- This is a nice,18 hole public course located in an abandoned rock quarry. 444 E. Basse Rd. 210-824-4500

      Bergheim Campgrounds-Here you can picnic, camp, canoe, kayak and raft. The rentals for most items are affordable. F.M. 3351 (Bergheim) 210-336-2235

      San Antonio Wheelmen-Organized bike tours at selected places through out the city. 210-826-5015

      Freidrick Wilderness Park-The city's nature preserve. Over five miles of trails for biking, hiking and sightseeing. 21395 Milsa 210-698-1057

      McFarlain Tennis Center-Lighted tennis courts. $1.50 per hour. 1503 San Pedro Ave.

      Brackenridge Park-This park, right in the city, is a great place to golf, picnic, bicycle and just walk around. There is also a cable car ride, a 3 and a half mile miniature model of an 1863 railroad and a carousel. 2800 block of North Broadway 210-207-8480
