Carriage Tours through downtown are given Tuesday through Sunday. A costumed driver narrates the journey as passengers ride past the stately mansions, impressive restored homes and the river front of historic Wilmington. An eight passenger surrey is used for the tours and a trolley operates on busy days or for private parties. The carriage tour begins at the corner of Water and Market Streets. The carriage and trolley are also available for special occasions, including weddings, private parties, group tours, Halloween ghost ride, Christmas caroling, Easter "bunny" ride, valentine carriage, birthdays, and gift certificates.
