Currituck Lighthouse

The last light house to be built in NC, 158 feet tall 214 steps. Gift shop on site, $5 admission to climb the lighthouse, open 10:00-6:00 7 days a week. 252-453-4939.

The Whalehead Club

A 15 bedroom hunting lodge and future home of the Currituck Wildlife Museum. Open June-Sept. 10-4PM daily, admission free. 252-232-2075.

Wild Horses of Corolla

Descendants of the Spanish Mustangs, the Corolla horses have been running freely over the Outer Banks since the 1500's. Today they are limited to the area between the end of the road and the Virginia state line. There are tours to see the horses in their natural environment.
